Born in Stoke -on - Trent in 1962, Anthony studied Architecture to degree, then post - graduate level, in the 1980’s. However, having visited the Highlands and Islands during the late eighties and early nineties, he became obsessed with the regions beauty, and, in 1994 he moved to the Isle of Lewis. The intense bright colours and the subtle changes of light inform his work. Anthony now works from his studio gallery in the north of the island, at Port of Ness, where he lives with his wife and two daughters. In 1996 he started to publish a series of greeting cards and fine art prints from his original paintings. In 1997, he was commissioned to provide an image for the cover of the Western Isles tourist brochure. Anthony has exhibited in galleries in the UK, and his paintings are in private collections in Europe, U.S.A and Australia.
