Stuart Herd was born in Scotland in 1971. He briefly attended Amersham Art College, before starting a career in Photography. He worked in various photographic fields – ranging from Commercial / Social / Press and Lab. Work. During this time he was able to combine this work with his love of travel.  In the 90’s, he began the transition to full-time artist, producing detailed pen & ink drawings of Edinburgh cityscapes as well as starting his Stadium portfolio. He started exhibiting early 2000 and had sell-out shows, notably to the US market in Jamaica. In 2002 he returned to Scotland and painting gradually took precedence. He has had exhibitions around Scotland and his work is now being sold in galleries throughout the UK. His landscapes / seascapes are now collected by buyers worldwide and now after the opening of his new studio, he is concentrating on future solo exhibitions and supplying new galleries with his work.
Stuart specialises in detailed realism style landscape and seascape canvases. They range in size and subject.
